Bridgend Street Pastors have been working on the streets since July 2007 with a team of 22 volunteers.
In October 2008 coordinator Mark Thomas was named Community Safety Volunteer of the Year by the South Wales Police Authority.
There are currently 46 trained Street Pastors in Bridgend, and another training course is due to commence in May 09.
We work every Friday and Saturday nights in the town centre, and soon will be working in the village of Cornelly with the young people from 7 - 11pm on a Friday night once a month.
