Lancaster Street Pastors have been going out since the 6th Sept 2008; they are patrolling the town centre between 10.30pm-3.30am once a week.
The Street Pastors engage with revellers listen, care, and help where they can. After receiving a pair of flip flops for her bare feet one lady commented this is like meeting God on the streets.
The patrols have been very well received with comments like 'we really respect what you are doing', 'I feel safer knowing you are around', 'I think it’s amazing' and 'I can’t believe you are doing this for nothing.'
The team is expanding. They currently have 14 volunteers and are in the process of training more. If you are interested in the work then please contact Steve for more details.
