Supporting in Prayer
We believe as followers of Jesus that God had has called us to the work of being Street Pastors - listening, caring and helping following the example of Jesus himself, who could be said to be the original 'Street Pastor'. Prayer for the work of all our teams and volunteers is vital. Among other things our prayers are for:
- a share of the compassion of God for people
- continued strength and motivation for this work
- spiritual resources of grace and love
- the safety and protection of all Street Pastors
- financial provision for the work
- God's guidance for the development of the work
We have two National Prayer Coordinators, Wendy Thomas and Eulay Mayne.
 
Each borough or town is encouraged to have a
prayer coordinator to organise prayer for the teams working in their
area. The National Prayer Coordinators can support the local areas by being a contact point, supplying prayer information and sharing ideas
that have worked with other areas. They hope to encourage people
involved with Street Pastors all over the nation and also personally
pray for the various needs within the movement, and can be contacted
with specific prayer needs.

Supporting financially
Growth brings with it financial challenges, but we are believing God for £400,000 to enable us to accomplish the work we believe he has given us to do.
- The growth of the Street Pastors Initiative since it began in 2003 means we are now in immediate need of larger office facilities. We need your help.
- In West Africa we are facing the challenge of completing the construction of a training and resource centre for the under-privileged. With your help we will be able to accommodate Doctors, Dentists, Nurses and other professionals who are already volunteering their services for two weeks a year.
We are praying that people like you, who have a heart for their community and to see lives transformed through Street Pastor encounters, will support us financially. This can take the shape of a one-off contribution or regular support which really gives us something to build on. Whatever your financial contribution, please be encouraged that your gift will make a difference.

- Donations by post: You can make a donation by sending a cheque payable to, Ascension Trust. PO Box 3916, London SE19 1QE. If you are a UK taxpayer we can claim extra through Gift Aid but you will need to complete a Gift Aid form which we will send you together with a payment receipt.
