the Longsight area of Manchester. This team is being set up in

 | Street Pastors launch in Manchester - Wednesday, April 28, 2004
The Street Pastors project that Carisma has been
helping set up on behalf of local churches was launched at a meeting of
'Manchester Prayer Network'. Guests included Rev Les Isaac, founder of
Street Pastors in London, and Chief Supt Neil Wain of Greater
Manchester Police. There are now around 20 Street Pastor applicants who
will begin training on June 12, before going out on the streets in
early July.
