| The Street Pastors vision in Haverfordwest started when a number of local Churches had a heart and concern about their local night life community, and saw the need for these people to hear the good news of Jesus whilst showing them God’s real love in a practical way and not to preach at people who couldn’t get away.
Oliver Harries, a local Christian and Paramedic who was seeing a lot of these problems first hand, contacted Street Pastors HQ. A visit from Rev Les Isaac in May 2008 had a fantastic response from many individuals from different churches around Pembrokeshire who had concern for their community and so Haverfordwest Street Pastors came into being.
So far we have 24 people signed up as volunteers, a prayer team, a management committee and great support from Churches, local Police and NHS alike.
Training began in January 2009 and regular patrolling of the streets has taken place since February 2009.
