Tiverton Street Pastors was commissioned at Tiverton Methodist church on the 13th of March 2010. We have 26 Street Pastors and 22 Prayer Pastors and 5 home prayers who are linked to a Street Pastor who advises them which night they are out and then lets them have a report of the night. We go out on Saturday nights from 10 until 3.30. We are also experimenting with a fortnightly early evening patrol around the parks in the town where an amount of underage drinking takes place.

The chairman of the management team is Rev Alan Rothwell and the team consists of Rev Philip Porter, Rev Barry Dugwell and Mrs Pauline Somerton along with the two coordinators.
Two teams went out on Monday 31/10 Halloween with the intention of giving away some UCB "bags of hope" to some families or youngsters doing 'trick or treat'. We gave away 150 bags and several hundred lollipops in the first 45 minutes of going out! Many contacts with younger parents were made as well as with many children,with one saying "you gave my sister some flipflops when she got drunk"
