Street pastors Sittingbourne was born from a desire to help out on the streets at night. Every pub in the town now has to have at least 2 door men and there is a desperate need to keep people safe and help them get home, whilst letting them know that people care about them.
The Street Pastors programme seemed the ideal way to do this. After an initial meeting, 10 churches signed up, and the Police and Council jumped at the chance to work together. |
