Salisbury Street Pastors was launched in September 2009. It now has a volunteer work force of 60 people coming from 16 local churches. Salisbury Street Pastors patrol the city centre from 10pm through to 4am on Friday and Saturday nights. Salisbury has a busy night economy, there may be up to 5000 people still in our pubs and clubs at midnight on a Saturday night! Salisbury was reported as having the highest drop in City Centre Crime in both January and February 2010 recorded in England. As the Salisbury Journal stated the police say that it is through the combined efforts of the Police ‘working closely with their partners – which include PubWatch, CCTV, Street Pastors’
