Newton Abbot Street Pastors was launched on Sunday June 27, 2010 at Avenue Methodist and URC Church. Newton Abbot Mayor, Cllr Carol Bunday and Police Superintendent Jim Meakin attended to endorse Newton Abbot Street Pastors. Rev Edgar Daniel represented Newton Abbot Churches Together. Local MP Rt. Hon. Mrs Anne-Marie Morris, as well as all proprietors and Licensees of all the Newton Abbot area pubs and Clubs as well as local taxi firms were also invited. Local press were also present.
