Kirkcaldy Street Pastors News
"...thank you so much for your help, it will not be forgotten." - Monday, November 01, 2010

Hi there, my name is Audrey and I was helped by the street pastors on Saturday night whilst out at Kirkcaldy with friends. I admittedly had consumed far too much alcohol and me and my friend Grace were left by our other friends leaving us no way of getting back home to Leven. The pastors approached us and spoke with us for a while making sure we were OK then we were offered a taxi home which was paid for by yourselves at the cost of £28. After suffering for a whole day due to my drinking I was made aware of what had happened and decided to write this email to say a huge thank you to the pastors who helped me that night, if it wasn't for them I have no idea what would have happened to me as I was in no fit state to look after myself. I think what you's do is amazing and would like you to know that I am so very grateful for your help. I have told all my friends and family about this and urged them to make any contribution to your cause that they can. Myself and my friend Grace will also repay the cost of the taxi fare when we can. Once again thank you so much for your help, it will not be forgotten. Keep up the good work. :) Audrey xxx

Thank you - Sunday, March 28, 2010

Hi

I want to reach out and thank all the street pastors out there looking after vulnerable people and keeping them safe.

Early this morning I got a call from a street pastor in Kirkcaldy, advising me they were looking after my daughter and asking if I could come and collect her.  I originally thought it was one of her friends "having a laugh", but once assured by the chap on the phone that he really was looking after my daughter (worse the wear for alcohol), I hastily went to collect her. As we were driving up to the area the street pastor had directed us to, I was totally gob-smacked (can't think of any other words that would suffice), at the amount of young people staggering about, being sick and clearly unable to look after themselves.

I even sent out a silent prayer for the poor soul wrapped in an insulating blanket, huddled in a corner - it was obviously a homeless person.
In fact, it wasn't a homeless person, it was my daughter, thankfully, surrounded by street pastors who had looked after her, kept her safe and phoned me to let me know she needed help.

On behalf of my daughter, myself, and her sister, I thank you, and I pray to God to continue to walk along side of you and help you in your work.

Thank you and kindest regards
