Cambridge Street Pastors was launched on 27th March and the team now work on the streets every Friday night. Already we are seeing people appreciating what we are doing.
Cambridge is home to many students away from their home towns. They like nothing better than to unwind and enjoy themselves in the pubs and clubs over the weekend just like the locals.
The City now has Cambridge Street Pastors to help them when they are stranded, wrap them up to keep them warm, ease the girl’s feet from the pain of high heels and generally be there to chat into the small hours of the night.
The local police force and door staff are happy to have this extra helping hand on the streets with them.
Many Christians ask themselves this question “What would Jesus do?” Here in Cambridge the Street Pastors have discovered an answer to that question.
